WXTG 102.1FM THE GAME was born January 29th, 2007 as a member of the Red Zebra family of radio stations. Red Zebra Broadcasting(www.redzebrabroadcasting.com)is a media company based in the mid-Atlantic region of the United States. The primary investors in Red Zebra are Daniel Snyder, better known as the owner of the Washington Redskins football franchise, and Dwight Schar, a minority owner of the team. Both are members of the parent company’s board of directors, but have no operating role.Red Zebra Broadcasting will identify, purchase and run broadcast properties, including radio, television and the Internet.

Red Zebra Broadcasting has built a network in its hometown market of Washington, D.C., and continues to expand that network regionally and nationally with the addition of stations in Richmond (ESPN 950am/WXGI) and Virginia Beach, Virginia (1490AM/102.1FM The Game/WXTG). In the Washington, D.C. market, Red Zebra owns and operates Redskins Radio (94.3 FM/WWXT, 92.7 FM/WWXX, 730 AM/WXTR) the flagship station of the Washington Redskins and the exclusive provider of ESPN Radio.
